Description
Voilà une très belle expression du cépage Barbera signée “Scavino”. Vinification et élevage en cuve afin de conserver la fraîcheur du fruit et le caractère intense de ce cépage. Exposition chaude en côteau afin d’assurer des maturités parfaites, drainage naturel des sols et contrôle des rendements font de ce Barbera un vin riche et complexe. Le nez développe des notes florales très aériennes. La bouche est tenue par une superbe acidité dans un équilibre très harmonieux et croquant. Un vin puissant et souple à la fois !

Longe de veau grillé et pesto de calabre, tagliatelles à l’encre de seiche.

"The 2016 Barbera d'Alba is made with simple criteria in order to maintain the easy freshness of the primary fruit. Fruit is picked from the Bricco Manescotto vineyard in La Morra. This sites gets most of its sunshine during the first half of the day. The Barbera grape loves a little extra heat and south-facing exposures. The vines are 25-years-old. The wine undergoes partial malolactic fermentation and is transferred back into stainless steel. It opens to very ripe fruit tones of blackberry preserves and cherry confit. The quality of fruit is generous and accessible. Don't wait more than two or three years to drink this wine."
